ragamuffin (plural ragamuffins)
- A dirty, shabbily-clothed child; an urchin.
- (According to Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable): A muffin is a poor thing of a creature, a 'regular muff'; so that a ragamuffin is a sorry creature in rags.
- A breed of domestic cat which is an off shoot from the Ragdoll. The Ragamuffin first made its appearance in 1994. Ragamuffins are notable for their sweet, friendly personalities and plush, rabbit-like fur.
- Raggamuffin music, usually abbreviated as ragga, is a sub-genre of dancehall music or reggae, in which the instrumentation primarily consists of electronic music. Sampling often serves a prominent role in raggamuffin music as well.
